Russell Hoffman, Owner, CMCA, AMS, PCAM Certified California Common Interest Development Manager

A former Board President of his Homeowners Association, Russell formed Valencia Management Group in 1994 along with Leonard McKinley CPA, to provide Community Association Management Services to the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas. Russell is a graduate of California State University Northridge, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Following graduation he worked as a buyer for companies including May Company California, Vons Grocery Company, and Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies. Russell is active with the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Community Associations Institute, having served on the Board of Directors and Co-Chairing the Satellite Programs Committee.

Mr. Hoffman earned all three of the management certifications from Community Association Institute (CAI), including the top designation of Professional Community Association Manager, and is a certified California Community Interest Development Manager.

Leonard McKinley, Owner, CPA Certified Public Accountant

Leonard has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration; Option Accounting Theory and Practice, graduating from California State University Northridge in May 1982. He was granted a Certified Public Accountant License in October 1984 and is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Following graduation he worked at several West Los Angeles local accounting firms before starting Valencia Management Group along with Russell in December 1994. His family has lived in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1973, and his wife Jennie's family homesteaded the Santa Clarita Valley in 1890.

Ruth Moffitt, CMCA, AMS, PCAM Certified California Common Interest Development Manager

Ruth came to VMG in 2001 with an extensive background in customer service and office management. Prior to joining VMG, Ruth worked as Grievance Liaison (customer service) and Network Department Manager for GE Dental and Vision, a division of General Electric. After working in the VMG Accounting Department for several years and as an Assistant Manager for a year and a half, Ruth earned her CMCA designation and began her career as a portfolio manager. Ruth has been managing associations since 2004 and has also earned her AMS and PCAM certifications.

Christine Albrecht, CMCA, AMS, PCAM Certified California Common Interest Development Manager

Christine, who holds a Real Estate Salesperson license, has been involved in the Community Association Management field since 2004. She has earned her Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation, AMS and PCAM designations.

James A. Beard, CMCA, AMS, PCAM Certified California Common Interest Development Manager

James earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 2003. He has been in the community association management industry for the past 11 years, and joined VMG in 2013. James holds the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) certification and the Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designations.

Laurie Mark, CMCA, AMS, PCAM Certified California Common Interest Development Manager

Laurie gained her experience in the property management field working as the on-site manager for a 264 unit condominium community in Valencia. She has been in the association management industry for 25 years and worked as a real estate agent for a Valencia-based real estate company before coming to work for Valencia Management Group. She holds the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) certification and the Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designations.

Peggy O'Donoghue, CMCA, AMS, PCAM Certified California Common Interest Development Manager

Peggy came to VMG as an Assistant Manager in 2009. After spending eighteen months in our management mentoring program, she was promoted to Community Association Manager. She holds the CMCA and AMS designations, and recently earned the prestigious PCAM designation.

Beth Bottaro, CMCA Certified California Common Interest Development Manager

Beth entered the community association management field back in 2006. Before her role as a Community Manager, she served in the Title and Auto industry. She has a bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from Cal State University Northridge. Beth has received the CMCA designation.

Sue Calhoun, CMCA Certified California Common Interest Development Manager

Sue Calhoun began her career in the community association management field as an Assistant Manager and then was promoted to a Community Association Manager and holds the CMCA designation. Prior to joining the community association management field, she worked for 26 years in the property tax management field as a Vice President of Operations until her division was sold. She has an Associate of Arts degree in business.

Lisa Hoffman, CMCA, AMS Certified California Common Interest Development Manager

Lisa has worked in the community association field for the last 8 years and joined VMG in 2015. She holds the CMCA designation.

Jessica Kelsey, CMCA Certified California Common Interest Development Manager

Jessica entered the community management industry in 2010 as an Assistant Manager moving up to a Community Manager. Jessica joined Valencia Management Group in March 2013 and in 2015 earned the CMCA designation.

Karen Manahan, CMCA, AMS Certified California Common Interest Development Manager

Karen graduated from Cal State Northridge with a Bachelor of Science Business degree. Karen has worked in Association management for over 15 years. She worked part-time while raising her family and has been a full-time Association Manager for last 8 years. She currently holds the CMCA designation.

Norma Gonzalez, CMCA

Scott Moore, CMCA, AMS

Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from California Lutheran University. He spent time working for the City of Santa Clarita, before subsequently joining Valencia Management Group in 2013. Scott's primary position is part of the accounting department, but he also assists in aspects of association management. Scott currently holds the CMCA and the AMS certifications.

Nicole Peterson, CMCA

Nicole joined VMG in 2015 with an extensive background in customer service and administrative management. Previously, she worked as the Director of Human Resources and Communications for Medversant Technologies, a data management company located in Downtown Los Angeles. After working with VMG as an Assistant Manager for a year, Nicole earned her CMCA designation and began her career as a portfolio manager. She is a graduate of California State University, Bakersfield and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature with a minor in Communications.

Roberta Plach, CMCA

Roberta joined VMG in September 2015. She has over 30 years of property management experience, with a high level of customer service. Roberta received her CMCA designation in 2016.
